Marissa Cox is an American actress who has performed in film, television, and the theater. Born in San Jose, California USA. Marissa is best known for being included in the Hollywood film scene and also contributed to the Indie film industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. Marissa performed as a Singer and worked as a Nurses Aide as well. Marissa grew up singing, acting and performing in school programs and was a member of the school band. As a child, Marissa attended church services and beginners Christian Bible study classes. As a youth, Marissa Cox enjoyed playing sports and played as a starting pitcher in her neighborhood baseball league. Her best performance as a teenager, striking out 19 batters in a row in a 7 inning 21 out game. During Marissa's high school years, Marissa kept busy delivering newspapers for the San Jose Mercury News and watching movies at the theaters. In the 1980's, Marissa enjoyed being a daily watcher of the then new MTV music videos, went to many popular rock concerts and worked in the Pest Control industry as well as cooking in popular restaurants. It was during the 1980's and 1990's that Marissa began to "feel" an interest in nursing. A life long Christian, Marissa Cox continued in adult Bible Study College classes in the 1990's and into the 2000's always giving thanks to and praising the Lord Jesus Christ in her daily life. Not claiming to be perfect in any way and admitting to her short comings. Walking by faith, "I forgive because I have been forgiven" is a statement Marissa posted on her Facebook account as a reference to her faith. Marissa's belief that we should all strive to be Loving, Caring and Forgiving of one another putting aside our differences gives light to an often seen nursing uniform top she was photographed wearing proclaiming, "Kind people are my kind of people". Marissa Cox trained as a Certified Nurses Aide and began working in the field in 2003 specializing in Home Health Aide services including hospice care situations feeling "led" in the direction of helping persons in need of care. Marissa worked 4-hour shifts @$99 per shift. In large Senior Care Facilities, Marissa was known to be there even for some individual's last day. Marissa would sit with these ones, talking and praying with them at the final moment. Marissa helped many seniors and disabled individuals with many different health issues in their homes as well as in facilities. Some of Marissa's clients needed help in running properties they owned so Marissa also obtained experience in Property Maintenance and Property Management. After going through some life changing experiences in the 2010's, Marissa proclaimed in 2015 that she will always be available to help individuals needing help @$99 for any 4-hour shift for as long as she is able. "This is my priority." Marissa Cox became active in the filming industry in the 2010's and continued into the 2020's acting, directing, writing and producing. Marissa Cox appeared as an actress in some film projects and movies including; Pizza Guys TV Advertising (2018), "Veritas training video" (2019), "Padmavyuha" (2020), "Matrix: Resurrections" (2021), "Pawn Stars hit the road: San Francisco" (2022) while pursuing a dream of producing her own films. Founder of Mt. Hamilton Pictures of San Jose, California (2019) established as a film company with a primary function of producing fun, entertaining family movies. Executive Producer and co-writer of films, "I wanna be a rock 'n roll star" (2023), "California Vacation: Gold Country" (2024), "California Vacation: West Coast Tour" (2025), "UFO Encounter" (2026), "The Alameda" (2027) as well as acting in all. As a singer, Marissa wrote and sang songs in her band out of San Jose, California, "Marissa Cox and the Purple Hearts". Marissa's album "Let's do this!" includes hits; "California Vacation", "I wanna be a rock 'n roll star", "UFO Encounter", "You don't want to show me", "Where is the gold?", "I Feel Ya", "Run", "Glipizide", "Love that misty water", and others (2024). Marissa began a crusade to push love over hate in (2022) posting reels in Social Media platforms entitled, "All you need is love" with background music from The Beatles hit song of the same name going viral almost immediately. Marissa believed that by showing true love and support for others in our daily lives, this love will not only help others, but also come back to you thereby relieving others and yourself of anxiety, depression, possibly suicidal thoughts or aggressive actions against others. Marissa was diagnosed with liver disease in 2022 after the development of symptoms. Still she persevered, moved forward, continued in all her goals and dreams. Vowing to "fight the good fight" still helping senior citizens and the disabled fulfilling her calling to her best ability.
