Andrew Nibbi

Andrew Nibbi is a cinematographer, producer, writer, director, and musician from the San Francisco Bay Area. With a background in independent filmmaking and musical theatre, Andrew strives to unite cast and crew to create beautiful and meaningful art, telling rich stories from fresh angles. Through his production company 178 Blank Productions, he also seeks to elevate unheard voices in media and create opportunities for first-time filmmakers. Growing up in Redwood City, Andrew first ventured into still photography in middle school, borrowing his mom's camera to take pictures around the yard. Some years later, he created a music video for a class project in high school, and quickly realized that filmmaking offered the perfect opportunity to combine his passion for visual art with the camaraderie of theatre. This hobby began to shift into a career when he was asked to serve as a sound mixer on Audible Chaos (2020), a production by longtime friend Bryce Stephens. The two quickly realized the strength of their partnership, and shortly thereafter founded 178 Blank Productions to continue developing their craft together. While producing and supporting numerous short films under the 178 Blank banner, Andrew began studying at Syracuse University. After the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrew decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film in earnest. Now, he works primarily as a cinematographer and producer for short films, music videos, and independent feature films.
