Mary-Claire Fitzpatrick, known as MC is a kids TV presenter with RTÉ, TikToker and online comedy creator. She had a brief stint on TV in 2016, interviewed on the popular RTÉOne show Today, after one of her social media videos 'Irish Mammies on social media' went viral. Her TV career really began in 2019 when Tailored films, then casting for their brand new kids TV show Ace My Space, spotted Mary-Claire her YouTube channel MCluvs2laugh and inviting her to audition for the show. Despite having no prior presenting experience, she impressed the director and RTÉ enough to be offered the role. One of her improvised audition pieces even later made it into the show. After season 1 of Ace My Space aired, she was asked to host another kids show with RTÉ called Martin's Shed in the summer of 2020, a wacky sketch show with a puppet pine marten co-host. This show later joined another RTÉ staple After School Hub, for its second iteration where the antics she and Martin got up to in Martin's Shed ranged from rewritten lyrics to Queen's classic Bohemian Rhapsody, Mary FitzPoppins flying in for a visit to Martin even eating a live chicken... Mary-Claire also guest starred as a 'VIP gamer' on Ireland's first gaming show hosted by kids, Gamer Mode and appeared on Christmas Specials for Home School Hub and Ace My Space in December 2021. For season 2 of Ace My Space, Mary-Claire was asked to provide additional writing to inject her own humour (and plenty of Laois based-puns) into the show. In 2022 Mary-Claire hosted the Junior Young Filmmaker of The Year Awards, meeting talented young people from around Ireland breaking into the world of filmmaking. With an MSc. In Multimedia and starting out her own career filming videos for YouTube, she was delighted to be a part of the festival. She also hosted the DPSM Awards, a live-stream event played in schools all across Ireland and appeared at Kaleidoscope Festival with a live set of RTÉ's Martin's Shed. Most notably, Mary-Claire presented the final of Ireland's Future Is Mine on RTÉ in June, an hour long Minecraft extravaganza with co-host John Sharpson. Mary-Claire continues to make comedy sketches for her TikTok page MCluvs2laugh, which has amassed over 4 million likes so far. From sketches about farming, school, a few Derry Girls impression and some behind the scenes of kids TV, her social media and presenting have really come full circle.
