Katherine Umayam

Born, raised and educated in Victoria, BC , Canada in mid December. First generation born Canadian to Filipino immigrants who are Remedios ( a registered nurse in Canada ) and Eldefender (a Canadian security officer ) Umayam. Graduated from University of Victoria with a Biology degree in 2003 and was a member of the UVic Kendo Club, UVic fencing club and the UVic Ballroom dancing club. Has a black belt in Kenpo Karate, took 13 years of playing classical piano, dabbled in teaching herself in other musical instruments. Took some acting courses in high school and in University to overcome her shyness. Has a wide variety of interests, such as drawing, painting, bouldering, martial arts, playing musical instruments, swimming, playing billiards and darts, travelling and learning from other cultures etc.
