Born and raised in Seattle Washington, Tiffany Underwood was always extremely close to her mother and grandmother. Her father was in and out of her life as a child and passed away from cancer. Shortly after graduating from high school, Tiffany's mom developed brain cancer and slowly deteriorated. At the age of 22, Tiffany gave birth to her daughter, and now, is following in her mother's footsteps as a single mom to a fourteen-year-old girl. Tiffany carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, trying to provide for her mother and grandmother and keep the family together. Tiffany Underwood has been working as a coach bus operator for Community Transit for the past year and a half. Tiffany's duties are very routine and stress-free. She has a bunch of regular bus passengers that she greets each and every day with a smile. But since the pandemic hit, when she gets into work every morning around 4:00am, she heavily sanitizes her bus before starting her day. Since she drives the commuter route, she typically drives nurses, doctors, and grocery store workers to and from work. She even stops in front of a hospital and drops off patients needing assistance. She takes pride in playing a key role in getting essential workers to their place of employment safely. She believes in her own special way, she too is helping save lives. Tiffany has had to put in many extra hours of overtime. On some days, she may work up to fourteen hours a day. Tiffany typically works a four-hour shift in the morning, reports home for a few hours in the middle of the day to help homeschool her daughter, and then reports back to work in the late afternoon for another four-hour shift. After work, Tiffany often drops off groceries for her grandmother, who recently recovered from gallbladder surgery and is not very mobile. Her grandmother has been her rock through everything with her mother and she's afraid if she loses her grandmother, who has diabetes and high blood pressure, she will lose her entire support system.
