Jamie Robert MacDougall

Jamie Robert MacDougall is a Canadian underground independent filmmaker, actor, and producer. Probably best known for his dark comedy horror film "Toilet Zombie Baby Strikes Back," which has developed a loyal cult following, MacDougall often works in black & white and sets all his films in the small fictional town of Golden Windows. In his teens, in the mid-1990s, he made a memorable and well received short film, "Silent Cry," which dealt with two teen best friends dealing with the sudden suicide of their transgender best friend. It was hailed by local reviewers as groundbreaking for its time. Pushing the envelope by the exploration of controversial subject matters and an unapologetic approach to human sexuality are trademarks, as is the fact that his films are no-budget efforts. Most of his early work is unreleased due to copyright issues. MacDougall founded his own production company, Aftertaste Productions, and has co-produced almost 60 films. He also enjoys acting and voice over work.
