Nebal Shafi

Nebal Shafi is a writer, director, producer, editor, and dancer based in Los Angeles. He was born in south India and grew up in Saudi Arabia. He was always intrigued by cinema from a young age as a viewer and realized his passion for being a content creator and filmmaker during his undergraduate in Journalism and Mass Communication. He directed his first short film Joann in 2016 which was officially selected for SCARF International Film Festival. Nebal has created multiple dance videos, commercials, and short films since 2016. He is presently doing his MFA at the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles. Growing up in the middle east and India enhanced his creativity in telling stories from different cultures. His films follow different genres including psychological thrillers, comedy, and realistic drama. He makes films that touch the audience's raw emotions and create an ever-lasting impact on them.
