Grace Dumdaw (she/they) is a Kachin actor, filmmaker, and photographer born in Myanmar and raised in Louisiana. Grace received their Bachelor of Fine Arts from Swarthmore College, majoring in Stage, Screen, & New Media and Peace and Conflict Studies. Additional acting education includes Prague Film School, Stella Adler Studio, and Upright Citizens Brigade NYC. In 2020, they were recognized as a Fellow by the Emmy's Television Academy Foundation for the Agency category. In addition to acting, Grace's passions include filmmaking as a director, videographer, and art director. In 2021, Grace's unreleased college thesis film project written, directed, edited, and acted by them received special mention from the Tri-Co Film Festival. Grace is also a strong advocate for their ethnic group, the Kachin people of northern Myanmar. They continues to raise awareness of the civil unrest and injustice against minority ethnicities in Myanmar.
