Ja Neine is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She learned to play 3 instruments and wrote her first song by the age of 12. As a teenager, she performed with bands in numerous events throughout Los Angeles: Simply Blues Bistro Talent Showcase, Talent Night at Inglewood West (hosted by the late Robin Harris), Grand Openings of the First Interstate Bank high rise in Downtown Los Angeles, and Max Dial Daihatsu in Inglewood, CA. She performed African song and dance with her sister as an honorary inductee in the university's Afro-American Ensemble when she was still in junior high school. At age 17, she was named the Assistant Band Director and lead keyboardist for the music group, Tri-Angular Vision, under the direction of the late Johnny "Hammond" Smith. She was an honor graduate at Hollywood High Performing Arts Magnet School where she performed in marching band, orchestra, talent shows, and at her graduation ceremony. She was in the pit choir in the school's productions of The Wiz and A Chorus Line and was cast for the part of "Winnie" (Wesley) in The Time of Your Life. Upon attending college, she was inducted into Mu Phi Epsilon, an International Music Honor Society. Ja Neine performed in the pit choir in her university's production of A Chorus Line. She performed at various venues with the university's "Jubilee Choir". During the televised Holiday Music Festival in Downtown Los Angeles, she delivered a solo performance. Her abilities and never-ending love of music has afforded her the opportunity to become the Assistant Band Director, Lead Keyboardist, Background Mic Singer and Holiday Music Director for New City Church in Fairburn, GA. She is also a self-published author, podcast host of The 88th Hour(TM) and business owner of 88 Works Concepts, LLC(TM).
