David Pinczés was born in 1981 in Debrecen, Hungary. Graduated in Economics, has an MSc degree in Marketing faculty. Yet had a childhood desire in filmmaking - probably inherited from his theatrical director father, István Pinczés DLA. Started his filmmaking studies only in 2019 at Budapest's Werk Akadémia, his exam work manifested in the 15-min short "Infinity by Two". This short film debut also marks his first collaboration with co-writer brother Máté, and former classmates from his hometown: costume designer Izabella Stefán and composer Tamás Matkó. His first work already features two famous Hungarian acting legends: György Cserhalmi and Tamás Dunai. Cserhalmi is often referred to as the most significant Hungarian contemporary actor, has stared in more than 200 films - giving David a huge honor to lead such legendary talents in front of his camera. David's second short film, the 19-min "Impostor" continues the path of collaborating with his writer brother, having again two top actors of his country, Pál Mácsai and Róbert Alföldi as cast.
