Melissa Hurry

Melissa is an Award Winning Screenwriter and Filmmaker, Script Reader, Producer, and Co-Owner of RIME Entertainment Limited. Since 2009, Melissa has written shorts and features. Her short film 'How It Is...' was an award winner for Best Drama at Tokyo Film Awards, and won Best Producer at London Indie Short Fest. The scrip alone won Best Short Script (Unrealized) at the Vesuvius International Monthly Film Festival, an Award Nominee, a Semi Finalist, Quarter Finalist, and part of the official selection for multiple independent film festivals. Her production entitled "Maybe It's Not...", has also been awarded as Winner of Best First Time Filmmaker at the Hong Kong Indie Film Festival, Winner of Best Covid Short at the London Indie Short Festival, as well as Finalist and Semi Finalist for multiple Festivals under two categories - Best Short Film and Best LGBTQ Short Film. As part of her Screenwriter background, she was a Script Juror for the third season of Paris Int'l Film Festival and is also part of the panel for upcoming film festivals. Further to this, she co-hosts and co-produces RIME Entertainment Showcase - an interview show promoting inspiration in the Arts and Entertainment Industry. This show goes into deep discussion about what affects Artists in the industry, as well as how they keep going to keep their dream alive. It is also about promoting new and upcoming projects.
