Vera Bertinetti was an Italian actress, stage director and radio producer. She studied acting with Sergio Tofano and Wanda Capodaglio, stage direction with Orazio Costa (of whom she later became an assistant), and mime with Jacques Lecoq. As a stage director, she was particularly well-versed in opera, collaborating with such major institutions as La Scala in Milan, La Fenice in Venice, Rome Opera House, Teatro Comunale of Bologna. As a radio producer, she worked with RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana, directing radio adaptations of plays by Jean-Paul Sartre, William Inge, Tennessee Williams a.o.
