A bilingual theatre-trained performer, Sandra Calderon has performed both in Latin America and the United States primarily in the theatre environment. In Mexico and Cuba, she toured with the theatre ensemble group Universiteatro playing the representative roles of "La Mujer de Leonardo," "Cecilia," and "Eduviges Dyada" in works by Federico GarcÍa Lorca, José Revueltas, and Juan Rulfo respectively. Among other performance work, in the United States Sandra has performed with Bread and Puppet Theatre in New York City. Her most recent theatre work is as director of college main stage productions of Macbeth, Our Town, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Sandra holds degrees from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and the State University of New York at New Paltz. She has also honed her acting skills at the HB Studio, and Meisner training with Larry Silverberg in New York City.
