Growing up in Forest Hills, Queens, Ruth always had an attraction to watching "grown-up" movies. Her favorite show as a kid was I Love Lucy. Before she could put a name to it, she harbored dreams of entertaining people. Ruth left New York on October 8th, 1991 and has never looked back. She studied acting, voice, and dance sporadically, but didn't pursue it. That dream never escaped her, and she is now proud to call herself a happy late bloomer. North Hollywood has become like a second home to Ruth; she has studied and performed improv for several years at The Avery Schreiber Playhouse, and has also found a creative home at The Actors Workout Studio, where she studies with Emmy Award-Winning Acting Coach and Master Teacher Fran Montano. Ruth has performed in several notable shows, including the autobiographical piece, Bare Naked Angels, as well as Another View, which was part of AWS's Park Plays series.
