Nick Sowma, born Joseph Nicholas Williams II in Rochester, NY to Jon and Heather Williams (nee Gould), grew up in Buffalo, New York in a home fostering creativity, including several plays directed by his older sister to critical acclaim by his mother and constructive criticism by his father. He is of Syrian, Lebanese, and European descent. He refined his acting and grew his passion for acting and performance at Nichols School. He learned to perform a variety of styles from more contemporary with an adaptation of Mary Zimmerman's "Metamorphosis" to various roles in the works of William Shakespeare, including Antonio in "The Tempest." He highlighted his career there as a member of a select cast for John Cariani's "Almost, Maine". After high school, Nick continued to perform in his university and early career years in amateur theater. During his time at the University of Rochester, Nick worked with the Buffalo based theater troupe "Thespians, Eh?", performing as the Player in "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead", as a member of the three person cast of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)", and as Coach in "All the Great Books (Abridged)". On graduation, Nick enrolled at University of Buffalo, graduating with a law degree (cum laude) in 2015 and a Master's in Political Science in 2019. Specializing in environmental business litigation, governmental relations, and corporate law, Nick ended his career as Vice President of Strategic Operations for Viridi Parente, Inc. During this time, he continued to sharpen his love for performance, producing, hosting, and singing in "The OSC Charitable Foundation's Christmas Coffeehouse", a show he continues to produce even across the country. With the COVID-19 pandemic, Nick decided to return to his true passion, acting, full time. Joining John Conroy Management in 2020, Nick quickly gained representation in Salt Lake City, UT. He quickly booked his first role as "Printer Guy", in a national commercial for Comcast, as supporting roles in "Lake Bastion (Pilot)" as Anthony Blackwater and "Replica" as "Tony". He also performed as the eponymous leads in "Dasher" and "MurderHobo". He recently played the "Annoying Actor", as well as a member of the ensemble, in the feature film "Brothers Grimm, Sisters Wild"
