Born Amanda Jane Perez from Indiana, she became a legend in the Latin Community Following in Lisa Lisa and Etta James in R&B music she became a legend in her own right and is further known as the Queen of R&B and Latin Soul for records you know as Angel, I Pray, and Candy Kisses. She was the first and last Mexican-American presenter for the lady of soul awards at the Soup Train.
