Karie Wright is an American actress, model and dancer of British, Scandinavian, Middle Eastern and Melanesian descent. Known for her distinctive gray eyes, she began her career modeling at the age of 14 doing junior runway, magazine and catalog work. In 1999 she made her music video debut as a back up dancer for Five in "If Ya Gettin Down." In 2002 at the age of 19, she was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Determined not to let cancer get the best of her she chose to further her education and lifted the spirits of others as a college cheerleader while battling the disease. In her 20's she set her sights on theatre. A versatile actress and now 10+ year veteran of the stage she has done a wide variety of plays including but not limited to the works of Elton John, Tim Rice, Neil Simon and William Shakespeare. In 2020 she made the leap from theatre to film after being cast as the English teacher in the thriller "Cheer For Your Life" directed by Jared Cohn. In 2021 she is building momentum taking part in Lifetime movie network's "Prisoner of Love" and Hallmark movie network's "The Beauty of Love" both directed by Lindsey Hartley, completing a supporting role in the Adam Whitehouse project "@ttention $eekers" and is slated to be the lead in the upcoming soulful Pete Haase music video "Feels So Good" and as Jill in the inspirational film "Hope's Song" shooting early summer 2021. You can occasionally spy an article she's written about sustainable horticulture in a magazine.
