Edoardo Maglio

Edoardo Maglio, born on the 20th of June 1999 in Pinerolo, is a young director, editor and screenwriter. He is keen on cinema and story telling since his childhood. After graduating from "Marie Curie" Scientific High School of Pinerolo, he began to attend the "Ingegneria del Cinema e dei Mezzi di Comunicazione" course at Polytechnic of Turin in which he is currently attending the third year. After having carried out an interview of professor Curri as editor and director in May 2018, he had the opportunity, thanks also to the Polytechnic of Turin, to direct his first short film entitled "BIAS" in December 2019. "BIAS" tells about a superhero who tries to save a girl that is victim of domestic violence. This short film it premiered at the outdoor cinema of Pinerolo as opening for the movie "God is woman and her name is Petrunya" by Teona Stugar Mitevska in August 2020 and is now competing in "Corto ETNACI" competition in Catania. In the summer of 2020 he directed his first web series as well, in which he plays not only the role of director but also the roles of screenwriter, editor, actor and visual effect artist. The series is composed of 8 episodes and is entitled "Sconosciuto" and tells the story of 4 girls struggling with their past. In 2020 he has directed other two unreleased short films: "Il Duello", a futuristic confrontation between two friends and "Memoria", a Lynch-inspired short, and has also created two advertisement: one for the park and the other for the sports club of his home town, San Germano Chisone
