Eric Lee Ripp (born 1973) is an American actor and singer. He was born and raised in Middleton, Wisconsin, and is the son of Joseph (Joe), a mechanic, and Eileen Ripp, a Administrative Assistant. His ancestry is German (mother) and German, English (father). Eric found his talent in entertainment at an early age. In 1986, he went to her first audition and won a lead role in his 8th grade musical. While gaining a love for entertainment Eric leaned to play several instruments but his true love was performing on a stage. Eric continued on as a signer/dancer for all 4 years in high school. After high school Eric focused his life on starting a health care software company (PPi). As CEO of PPi Eric gained stage presence and the ability to communicate clearly as he sold software and services to health care plans in New York. Being in New York gave Eric a chance to have the opportunity to see plays and engage in the arts. In 2017, Ripp appeared in a local small town play, You can't take it with you, which received high ratings as the first ever adult play performed by WHP 2.0 (Wisconsin Heights Players). The experience was so positive within WHP that the decision was made to continue to produce approximately two shows a year. Ripp continued to fill roles in every play available by WHP 2.0. In 2018, Ripp changed his role from actor to writer. Eric co-Authored and directed Millions to Billions and wrote several other plays including On the Shoulders of Giants, The Reluctant Banker, and Four Years of Torture a Wisconsin High School Story. Ripp found that his passion for acting was equally matched by his passion for writing. in August of 2018 Ripp filled in as an extra for the movie No Roles Written. Being on the set of a movie sparked Eric's interest in performing in movies. In October of 2019 Ripp was cast as Dr. Max Jergenson a leading scientist in the field of clownology. Finding Big Shoe will premiere at a film festival later this year and there are plans for two more follow up episodes. In 2020 Ripp joined the cast of The Big Cool for the 48 hour film festival in Madison Wisconsin. Eric played Solar man a middle aged superhero on the cusp of retirement. There are tentative plans for a prequel and a sequel as follow up films. In 2021 Ripp expanded his talents in the short movie Kung Fu Kick My Heart where he helped produce, act and sing as the character Franklin Halverson - Lyricist. The movie will debut in the frozen 48 film festival in Madison WI
