Alex Benoit

Alex Benoit is an Actor and retired Team USA ice dancer from Chicago. Named to Chicago Tribune's "Hot New Faces 2019: 10 new Chicago actors you should know" list. In July of 2022 it was announced that he was in the cast of the Pre-Broadway World Premier of "The Notebook" at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams, with music/lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson, and book by Bekah Brunstetter. He has worked in various various regional equity theatre's throughout Chicago, including Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Writers Theatre, and Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace. Cast as Rapunzel's Prince in 2019's "Into The Woods", directed by Gary Griffin at Writers Theatre, he received a Joseph Jefferson nomination for "Best Ensemble". He graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2020, completing the MA program for Classical Acting in the Professional Theatre. While in London, Alex met his love, Jordan. They married in 2021. He was a competitive Ice skater from the age of 2003-2018. A national medalist both in singles, and later in ice dance where he competed for Team USA internationally and at world ranking competitions.
