An Award Winning Screenwriter and Independent Moviemaker He resides in the Houston, TX area. A military brat with a diverse background. As he experienced different communities and cultures in his youth, Bobby grew to improvise and adapt depending on what life throws at him. He has always been creative and loves story telling on the Silver Screen. His fondest memories are sitting with his hardened father and watching an old western or war movie. His father would share behind the scenes stories of actors such as Audie Murphy and Ben Johnson, which in turn spawned a desire for Bobby to go deeper into researching what happens behind the camera. This made him a fountain of movie knowledge. It has been a very crooked path for Bobby. Growing up in a household grounded in reality with parents that saw the creator but could not grasp how he was going to survive pursuing such aspirations. Aspirations such as being a Disney or Warner Brothers animator. Without the support that all creatives and rebelling against the military he pursued a degree in Criminal Justice. Looking back he says he watched one too many action flicks and had delusions of being Batman. Settling for this reality based career pursuit it wasn't until 2 years into his degree plan that he took an elective course in Screenwriting and his passion for motion pictures was reignited. Fate had stepped in and shown him the realities of pursuing the dream of making movies. Then life decided to throw in a curve ball as well and a baby boy was placed in Bobby's arms. The responsibilities of being a father overwhelmed his life and he obtained various employment to live up to these responsibilities. In the background he is always pursuing the movie making. He uses limited resources and time to create short films and sketches. In 2009 he participated in The 48 Hour Film Project and continued until 2017. Though, he never won any of these competitions he did get recognition for certain elements and Honorable Mentions. The biggest skill he obtained from these projects is the ability to manage time and resources to accomplish writing, shooting, and editing a 3-7 minute shorts film in 48 hours. A challenge for a team, but even more challenge working as a one man band. After 18 years raising his son and creating a partnership that involved the same dream, Life stepped in again and his son was tragically lost to an unknown cardiac issue. Bobby was devastated by this loss, but instead of giving up on his pursuit of making movies and telling stories, he stands tall and is even more driven to succeed. It took the loss of his son for his parents to finally accept this pursuit and at his son's graveside his mother said "Your daddy is going to make these dreams come true..." With graveside promises being made and a newfound drive Bobby took the quarantine to finish spec feature screenplays that are circulating the festival circuit. He also created one man shorts he calls Q-shorts that grow in popularity on Youtube. Now he is developing one of his spec scripts A Werewolf Story as his first feature in collaboration with Syllabus Productions. "I have seen a lot in this world and have experienced the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. I have spent my life pursuing story telling as my calling. As Rocky Balboa said, "Nothing hits Harder than Life" and I keep moving forward." - Bobby Baham.
