Lauren Brotman is an award winning actor, writer and producer for stage and screen. Over the last 20 years she has performed in theaters across Canada, the United States and Europe. She has received multiple awards for her work on stage including the Christopher Plummer Fellowship Award (2004) through which she trained and performed at Shakespeare's Globe in London, U.K. as one of ten International Fellows. She is a recipient of the Dora Mavor Moore Outstanding Ensemble Award (2003), Artist of the Year (2018) for her performance as Hedda Gabler in 'Hedda Noir.' She is a multi-award nominated creator, including for her work with Judith Thompson as co-creator of 'The Grace Project' and with her hit indie theatre company Bound to Create (B2C). She was Associate Artist at Theatre Northwest for five seasons (2014-2018). She has mentored, taught or adjudicated over 2000 young people across the country and received the Jessica Fraser Award for Outstanding Contributions to Theatre for Young Audiences. Lauren has trained with some the world's most celebrated theaters and directors including Mark Rylance, the SITI Company, Yael Farber, Graham McLaren and Robin Phillips. Lauren's new play 'She Carries Me Again' will receive a workshop in Summer 2021.
