Matthew Sirju is a Queens based actor who goes to Marymount Manhattan college where he is gaining his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. He started acting when he attended an acting class at his high school the Queens high school of teaching which re sparked the torch inside him when he played the Angel Gabriel in his church play as an Eighth Grader. This motivated him to join a theater company called Moving Mountains a not-for-profit theater company that provides art programs for inner city youths. While attending Moving Mountains he was able to work with various accomplished actors who helped him to develop acting my skills. He auditioned for and he was accepted into the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts summer program, the program allowed him to further enhance acting skills. Matthew Sirju auditioned for and got into Marymount Manhattan where he is majoring to get his Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting. At Marymount he is working with many different acting professionals to further sharpen his acting skills. In addition, Matthew had the opportunity to play a lead role in a play at Marymount. Matthew also stared in various film projects, plays, and voice overs including To live and Die in Bed-Stuy the series, and he had the opportunity to play the teenage version of the Lee Fields in the Lee Fields biopic, as well as various different plays, and a voice over called In Search of The Sun. Matthew wants to be able to motivate people through the characters that he portrays. He wants to leave memorable performances to not just feed his ego but to inspire others to believe that they can accomplish what they want to pursue in life if they work hard enough for it.
