Alex Torgunakov

Alex is a graduate of the Moscow State Academy of Arts and danced for nine years at the Bolshoi Theater. He was selected by the French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj in his troupe as a member of the famous modern dance theater "Provincial Dances". Then he ended up in Poland, where, after an injury, he began to rediscover modern dance for himself. Now he works at the Rozbark Dance Theater (Bytom, Poland), teaching contemporary dance and making productions: in 2016, he was nominated for the Golden Mask award for the production Everything in the Distance.
