Hailing from Eastside 7-mile Detroit, MI, Joshua Q. Nelson's first professional debut in directing is an action short film called "Run Girl Run," which he made and wrote in his hometown. A proud alumnus of Syracuse University with a B.A. in Political Science and a graduate of The National Journalism Center, his passion is learning about a community's issues, especially when he can tell its story. Filmmaking helps push his passion further.
