Devki Patel

Devki Patel is a student filmmaker pursuing a BFA Honours Double Major in Film Production and Psychology at York University. She hopes to pursue a career in cinematography and film direction. Devki believes that there is the ability to create positive change at the heart of storytelling, which she hopes to achieve in her own work! In the past two years, Devki has directed a myriad of short films across different genres. Additionally, she is the Festival Coordinator at the Future of Film Showcase, a not-for-profit film festival in Toronto, Canada. In her spare time, Devki also freelances, providing videography and video editing services to clients. She also has an extensive background in theatre, having played multiple lead roles in various productions.
