Nicholas Kings was born in Illinois and moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin, when he was two years old. Nicholas is the second of three brothers born to Gloria, a full-time homemaker, and Paul Oleksak, an attorney. The Oleksak family traveled abroad yearly. Nicholas developed his love of movies from classic black and whites to modern day blockbusters, indie films and foreign films, especially Spanish language films, from his mother who is of Mexican descent. Gloria showed Nicholas around the kitchen, and Nicholas developed a passion for cooking authentic Mexican cuisine. From his father who is of Czechoslovakian descent, Nicholas developed a love for sports, and as a youth, aspired to be a professional athlete. He participated in a wide variety of sports including hockey, soccer, baseball, football and fencing. Nicholas' mother strongly encouraged the arts, and enrolled him in a variety of classes from tap to ballroom dancing, violin and guitar. It was at a local community theater, The Rhode Center for the Arts, which was promoting acting classes, that 8-year-old Nicholas was cast as Sir Andrew in a children's production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Nicholas found his niche. With the encouragement of family and friends, Nicholas continued to star in middle school and high school productions. In The Boys Next Door, Nicholas played the schizophrenic Barry Klemper who believes he is a pro golfer. The play performed at the state level in Wisconsin and won for best drama. Nicholas decided to make acting a career. After high school, Nicholas wanted to go straight into acting. His father, an avid sports enthusiast and golfer, encouraged him to go to college to pursue sports broadcasting due to Nicholas' extensive knowledge of sports. Nicholas chose a college that also had a strong theater department. He attended UW-Parkside and throughout his time there cultivated his craft. He graduated with a BA in Theater, with Acting Honors and a certificate in Film Studies. Not satisfied with the results from his time in college, Nicholas enrolled at the Chicago Actors Studio in Chicago from 2017 to mid-2019 to focus on acting in film under Edward Dennis Fogell. In Summer 2019, Nicholas took up a friend's recommendation of acting coach Maureen Cashin Bolog who owns and operates Actor's Craft in his hometown of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and teaches The Chubbuck Technique used by Academy Award winning actors. To date, Nicholas continues his studies with acting coach Ms. Bolog to perfect his craft. He has landed lead roles in independent productions including Stolen Dreams, Three-Fifty-Nine, a supporting - role in The Rose of Sharon which is in post-production, and is in pre-production for Fifty Worst Dates: Love Me Tindr.
