Clay is a pediatric SLP with 15 years of experience. He owns and operates Ready, Set, Talk LLC in Charleston, SC. During the COVID pandemic, Clay started producing video aimed at spreading the understanding of augmentative and alternative communication. Clay graduated from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a master's degree in Speech- Language Pathology in 2006. He holds a bachelor's degree from Winthrop University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. He worked for University Hospital in Augusta, GA and the Medical University of South Carolina before starting Ready, Set, Talk in March of 2016. Over the last 10 years, Clay has provided intervention to assist individuals with an array of speech and language delays. He focuses largely on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), autism spectrum disorders, and behavioral based feeding. Clay lives in Charleston, SC with his wife Lisa, and their children, Denver, Kase, and Emma Grace. He used to have hobbies, but now he has children (this is mostly a joke).
