Paul Renolis is an actor, choreographer, and dancer. He has extensive training and experience in theatre, choreography & dance, and drag performance. Paul's theatre education comes from his youth performance background growing up in New Hampshire as well as various classes and stage productions at his alma mater Boston University. Professionally, he has been cast in a variety of theatrical roles with companies such as Boston Stage Company (Boston, MA) and Theatre Rhinoceros (San Francisco, CA). As of 2018, he holds a company actor position with Left Coast Theatre Company (San Francisco, CA) and is cast in Season 1 of the Bay Area mini-series Strings Attached, playing the supporting role of 'Adrian' (in post-production, 2021). Paul is also a hip hop dancer and choreographer and has performed with multiple east and west coast hip hop dance companies--most recently with Mind Over Matter (2015-2017), directed by reputable Bay Area hip hop choreographer Allan Frias. Paul's introduction to dance was through musical theatre and 10 years of martial arts training, both of which function as his lens to dance and movement philosophy. In summer 2019, Paul was selected by Tony Award-nominated choreographer Sam Pinkleton to contribute to his summer residency lab at The Ground Floor at Berkeley Rep. When Paul is not on the stage, you can find him teaching hip hop dance at various local dance studios, fitness studios, and community dance programs.
