David Belle Isle is a 6th generation Georgian and has been happily married to his wife, Candice, for over 20 years. They have two teenage children, Colton and Kayley. A proud Georgia Bulldog, David graduated from the University of Georgia in 1997 before attending Georgia State University, where he earned both his JD and MBA. David opened up his own law firm in 2007, Hipes & Belle Isle, which focuses on commercial and residential real estate transactions. In 2012, David was elected Mayor of Alpharetta. There, he led the effort to re-invent Downtown, approve and launch of Avalon, champion and inaugurate a new conference center, land a new technical college campus, and make Alpharetta the "Technology City of the South." David launched the State's first technology commission, envisioned and hosted Georgia's first Ag-Tech Conference, and started a technology incubator (now serving over 50 startups). As a result of these efforts, Alpharetta has grown to over 700 technology companies and over 100,000 jobs, which is the highest concentration of technology companies in the Southeast. Under David's leadership, Alpharetta was named the No. 1 city to start a business in Georgia; the No. 1 city in Georgia for working families; the No. 1 small city to start a business in the Country; and the No. 1 city in the Nation for women entrepreneurs.
