Aloy Deb Barma

Aloy Deb Barma, born 24th April, is an Indian film director who is known for his work in Kokborok Cinema and Bengali Cinema. He has established a career in films as a filmmaker and also as a film scholar. Aloy was born in Agartala, India. He has taken keen interest in film study since very young age. He has attended Maharaja Bir Bikram College to pursue literature. Later, he attended various film institutions across the country as a regular and exchange student which includes institutions like Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute, Tripura University, Film and Television Institute of India and Jadavpur University. Besides all, Aloy also loves sports and he had actively participated in University Judo Championships and National Badminton University Championships as he also holds a bronze medal in University meet Judo Championship. Aloy also joined Doordarshan Kendra, Agartala as an intern to learn various aspects of Television Broadcasting. He has also conducted classes in National School of Drama, Tripura in Theatre and in Tripura University.
