Kumar Bhaskar

Kumar Bhaskar studied film making at Kantipur Film Academy, Kathmandu. His first documentary "Chhath Puja" highlighted the Mithila region's greatest festival Chhath devoted to the Sun. The documentary won the Public Choice Award in "Mero Gau Mero Thau", a national level competition organized by We Will Rise Foundation in 2019. He then directed the genre-defining social drama based film "Kausidd". Bhaskar has also produced some path breaking short films like "Padma" which depicted the Nepali tradition on menstrual system and taboos. It is also noteworthy to mention that several visual documentation, documentary and other publicity materials for the bilateral projects which were completed under Nepal-India Cooperation Aid by the Government of India through the Embassy of India in Nepal were completed under his direction.
