She was born in Seo -gu, Gwangju -si (currently Nam -gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City ) and graduated from Gwangju Daeseong Elementary School and Gwangju Mujin Middle School . Lee Su Jeong (formerly Baby Soul) is a South Korean singer and lyricist under Woollim Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl K-Pop group Lovelyz and former one half of the unit duo Baby Soul+Yoo Jia. Prior to her debut , she was featured in the song 'Crying' from Infinite's 1st full album ' Over the Top ' under the same agency. Originally debuting as a solo artist, Baby Soul released her first digital single, "Stranger", on November 23, 2011. On January 18, 2012, she and Yoo Jia released the single "She Is a Flirt" under the unit name Baby Soul+Yoo Jia. The latter presumably left the agency shortly afterwards. On January 18, 2012, together with Yoo Ji-ah, Woollim Girl Group Project's second album "She's a Playboy" was released and swept the music charts at No. 1 on Cyworld, No. 3 on Melon. Her first public appearance on the airwaves was in the special feature of KBS2 's 'Immortal Songs 2' , which was broadcast on July 21, 2012, in the special feature of 'Gayo Top 10', which was broadcast-ed on July 21, 2012, and featured on the stage of Infinite Sunggyu's Beach Woman with Infinite's Dongwoo. She debuted as a member of Lovelyz on November 12, 2014 with the group's first album Girls' Invasion. On November 16, 2021, Lovelyz went on indefinite hiatus after the members' contracts expired. However, Lee Su Jeong renewed her contract with Woollim. On November 17, Woollim announced that Baby Soul has decided to change her stage name to her given name Lee Su Jeong for her future endeavors. On April 19, 2022, teaser photos were posted which revealed that Lee Su Jeong will be re-debuting as a solo artist with her first mini album My Name on April 26.
