J.D. Cabrera

José David Cabrera aka J.D. Cabrera, is a Dominican actor, born in Marseille, France the 15th of April 1992. He made his way into acting in a theater club at his school at the age of 13. He would later take it not only as a hobby or a ministerial duty in church but as a career in Santo Domingo when he started auditioning for musical theater plays. He had the opportunity of getting training in theater from theater producers such as Luis Marcell Ricart, Rosa Aurora Lopez and Isen Ravelo. Cinema became another passion for J.D. when he got to get involved in productions such as Malpaso (2017) as a crew member. Soon enough he started getting trained by acting teachers in the media. Dominican actors such as Manny Perez, Kat Montes, Alfonso Rodriguez, Daniel Aurelio, among others. In recent years J.D. has been working on independent projects and is now starting to become a movie actor for productions such as The recruitment (2021), where he did his acting debut in a project directed by Neal Johnson and Christian Elliott. He also dedicates time to coach his Dominican actor peers in the English language since he has been working as an English teacher for many language centers.
