David Andrés Mesa was born September 28, 1993 in Medellín, Colombia. Raised by his audiovisual parents he grew up behind the cameras. Studied Tv and Cinema in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2012), and return to his home town, Medellin, to work in regional series for Teleantioquia as Assistant Director. In 2017 he directed his first short film Aurivoros, it was based on a truth story told by his grand father, but it was such an extreme experience that he decided to follow the animation path. The following year, he directed "Celio y la mariposa", his first animation short film produced by Bombillo Amarillo. Since then he has been the General Director of Bombillo Amarillo, animation studio based in Medellin, where he has directed series as Zooñadores, Las aventuras de Tata y Coco, Érase una Voz (temp 1), El Pueblo del Olvido, Flashlight, and the short film Tiempos.
