Fatima Abdulaziz Alshamsi was born in Geneva to diplomatic parents from the United Arab Emirates. Having lived in five different countries by her thirteenth birthday, Fatima calls New York City as well as Abu Dhabi home. With a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and a master's in Global Affairs, Fatima enjoyed a decade-long career as a geopolitical analyst before pursuing filmmaking full-time. She hopes to amplify the Muslim-Arab experience, particularly stories told by and about women.
