Ruth Estelle was born in Zimbabwe then raised in a feminist eco-commune in the Adelaide Hills. Her three unpublished novels formed the basis of her first optioned screenplays - Cornucopia, Sex Angst Love, and All Fall Down. She has had multiple commissions and worked across a variety of formats, including TV, animation, feature film, and podcast. Ruth's work has been funded by state and national agencies, and short-listed in national and international competitions. After more than a decade of honing her craft and being an active industry participant, Ruth's major writing credits are imminent with feature film Silver Nomads being produced by Brouhaha, and family feature The Secret Ingredient to follow. Ruth has been in a highly productive writing partnership with Pete Monaghan for eight years. A Word Ninjas' commission - multimedia documentary project, Banjo Morton: The Untold Story - has recently been launched by Think Films. Most of Word Ninjas' diverse slate has been optioned and been in funded development, including TV series Response Time which is being pitched internationally. Ruth recently worked as Development and Production Executive at Mercury CX, and also works part-time as Business and Media Manager for UK business, Emotion Coaching.
