Tracy Dawn Thompson's interest in music and performing began early on. Growing up in small town Kansas, she was singing to enthusiastic audiences at age four. As a teenager, she was offered music, academic and tennis scholarships, but decided to head to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of singing, songwriting, modeling, and acting professionally. In Hollywood, she was accepted at distinguished Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, secured representation and began modeling and appearing in television commercials. Thompson worked as a runway model for Calvin Klein and Armani and appeared as a commercial actress for national ad campaigns such as Burger King, AT&T, Kellogg's, Dr. Pepper, Coors Light, Taco Bell, Honda, Whirlpool, Pepsi, MGD, IKEA, Sprint, Adidas, and Nike (to name a few). She appeared in smaller TV roles on 'Cheers,' 'Jamie's Secret' and the movie 'Hoffa' and worked as an actress and model in MTV music videos in Europe and Australia and in the United States with Guns & Roses for "November Rain" and Pantera for "This Love". Thompson formed a band and began playing her original songs for sold out audiences at the Roxy, The Whiskey, Troubadour and the House of Blues on Sunset Strip. This brought her to the attention of Warner Records president, Phil Quartararo, who promptly signed her to the label. Her album "Poetic Aftermath" was released in the Christian market and scored three Top Ten hits on the rock charts. With Creative Artists Agency as her representation, she toured the United States and Australia opening for well known bands in 20,000 capacity venues. Thompson also signed to Atlantic Records, as one of the first artists to sign simultaneously to two major labels under the banner of Time Warner Music. Danny Bransen added her track "You Deserve to be Loved" to the movie soundtrack "Sweet November" starring Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron alongside artists like Enya, Barenaked Ladies, Paula Cole, K.D. Lang and Stevie Nicks. A longtime SAG member, Thompson has consistently distinguished herself as an exceptional songwriter, electrifying vocalist and arresting performer. She continues to write, record and perform and looks forward to renewing her acting career.
