Adam Schrader attended a week-long acting camp in sixth grade and felt like a star. He took theater as an elective course in seventh grade, bombing terribly during monologue using the lyrics of an Iggy Pop song, and decided to never act again. He did yearbook class the next year, his first foray into journalism. Adam's time in high school was certainly filled with drama, even without taking theater classes. He took elective classes such as photography and literary magazine while considering his plans for the future. He then attended Lubbock Christian University in Texas where he majored in music business. During his time in college, Adam tried out for several plays and musicals but was never good enough to make it to a lead role. Though he did get an award for Outstanding Acting at the Christian Universities Theater Festival - which he still brags about to this day. The success led him to spend his hard-earned tutoring money on head shots at the mall, which he never ended up using. Adam then spent nearly a decade working as a journalist before he decided to join Backstage and attempt acting again. He thought about applying to acting schools, but decided he better not when he saw their tuition costs. He is still trying to land his first major role, having been cast as an extra in a number of productions.
