Regan Cerato

Regan Cerato is an American cosplayer, costume designer, and author, hailing from Boston, MA. She and her wife publish their work under the name Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay and specialize in creating complex couture cosplay and original pop culture-based designs. A veteran cosplayer of over twenty years, she is a passionate craftsperson who utilizes a wide range of techniques to create designs that are both intricately detailed and impossibly over the top. A world cosplay champion, she was crowned the Crown Champion of Cosplay at ReedPop's global finals at C2E2 2019. Since then she and her wife have worked alongside a number of companies to bring their characters to life through the art of cosplay, including Riot Games (League of Legends) and miHoYo (Genshin Impact). Her focus is on is invention, creativity, and teaching, encouraging others through education. With over two decades of experience, she has taught panels and judged high level contests around the world, and occasionally appears on television spots, radio, and Youtube series such as Adam Savage's Tested to talk about her craft. She is the author of three cosplay books: The Art of Extreme Wig Styling (2020), Fabulous Cosplay Footwear (2021), and The Cosplayer's Book of Ball Gowns (2022)
