Sérgio Sacani, passionate and fanatical about astronomy, astrophysics, astronautics, geophysics and related sciences. This passion was born in 1985 with the passage of Comet Halley, giving rise to the desire to share and disseminate news and discoveries related to space sciences. In the mid-1990s, in an era without internet, and without mass media, Sacani was already involved in astronomical study and with the desire to spread the scientific word, through the Aldebaran Astronomical Bulletin, which was typed and sent via mail to a restricted but specialized group of people, astronomical groups, observatories, planetariums and other interested parties. Many years later, with the advent of the internet, Sérgio Sacani started the CiencTec blog in June 2009. The blog was committed to providing the general public with accurate and correct information, with well-documented sources, scientific articles that support firm and validated news and opinions on the topics, and published and disseminated findings. After years as CiencTec, Sacani decides to change, give a new face to the blog, making it more professional and that's how Space Today came about. The name in English is just a tribute to the two famous astronomy blogs and sites, Universe Today and Space. In 2016, Space Today TV YouTube channel was created, reaching an incredible 220 thousand followers and rapidly growing. In 2018, opened the SpaceToday Store, the first online store in the country specializing in t-shirts with astronomy and astrophysics themes. In 2021, started a new podcast called Ciencia Sem Fim, from which people from the most diverse areas of science are interviewed in the style of a "Chat Conversation between friends".
