Abby Rosehill was born on December 24, 1995, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to a father who is a business owner, and a real estate developer, and her mother is a psychiatrist. Her father is from Kuwait. Her mother is from Levis, Quebec, Canada, and of English descent. Throughout Abby's early years, the family divided their time between their homes in Canada and Kuwait, and she would often travel with her parents while they were working. She attended and graduated from New York University and has done some stage work but was more focused and attentive to her studies. Abby's parents encouraged her to try community theater when she was 9 years old and hoped it would help their daughter overcome her shyness which she loved and felt where she belonged. She once described that she felt as though she were trapped inside a box. From inside this box, she could look out on the world as an observer (as one might watch a film or a television show), but she'd felt incapable of contributing to what was going on around her in any significant way. Furthermore, she performed well academically, is well-liked by her teachers and peers, and is said to be extremely bright and kindhearted. She is an outdoor enthusiast and showed great enthusiasm and talent for the arts: gymnastics, dance, theater, music, visual arts, and acting. As the daughter who was brought up in a bilingual household, she split her childhood between Vancouver, Canada, and Quebec, and tries to visit the summer holidays all over the Middle East. Miss Rosehill strongly feels connected to her Canadian roots and her Kuwaiti roots. She feels connected to both cultures and is lucky to speak both English and Arabic, along with some French.
