George Ellison

George Ellison was born and raised in Cambridge, the UK the son of a teacher and sustainability consultant. George planned on applying to join the Royal Marines as a musician but instead decided to study filmmaking at Nottingham Trent University. Throughout his sixth form years, George made short comedy films to be shown at his school. During his time at university, George made a broad range of media such as music videos, short films, and adverts. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, filmmaking became difficult; however, with a drive to continue working, George directed 'When We Met Again', a short Sci-Fi film that was released in the Autumn of 2021. Due to the difficulty of making films during a pandemic, George taught himself how to do visual effects and began exploring the world of virtual production and visual effects. This allowed him to make films at home safely and affordably.
