Jonah Church is an 9th Grader at Simsbury High School, in Simsbury, Connecticut. Born and raised in the Farmington Valley in northwestern Connecticut, Jonah is an avid reader and prolific writer. Inspired by actor Cameron Boyce and authors JK Rowling, Rick Riordon and RL Stine, Jonah enjoys acting, singing and writing fantasy adventure stories. Jonah most recently has performed with Connecticut Performing Arts in Newsies (2022) in the role of Romeo. Previously, he has performed with Connecticut Family Theatre (James and the Giant Peach Jr, Oliver Jr, Into the Woods Jr, and Mary Poppins), Playland Productions (Our Town: Simsbury) and Henry James Memorial School (Frozen Jr.). Jonah has been recognized by the Connecticut Writers Project through the University of Connecticut with a Silver Award for "Raid of the Final Tomb" [2020] as well as honorable mentions for his short stories, "Mia Sunn: Spy for Hire" [2019] and "A Child of Magic [2021]. Jonah lives with his mom and dad in West Simsbury, Connecticut.
