Direk Bee

Direk Bee, a 34-year old Filipino filmmaker is a former actor and script writer in CCTN-47 (one of the local channel in Cebu, Philippines) from 2011-2014. His works includes Bino (Wine), Boardmates, Unos (Wave), Tunob sa Kagahapon (Footprints from the Past), Immoral, Pasaylo (Forgiveness), Kahigayunan (Chance), Marco, Mascarade, Ako,ikaw og ang Gugma (You and Me and our Love), I Love You Ma'am, and Posas (Chain) where he played as the lead. He's also a wattpad novel writer who won Watty's 2016 with his masterpiece entitled "Connected". He started to step up as Director when one of his colleague invited him to write and direct a film for Sinulog 2021 entry. Unfortunately, due to pandemic, the contest was cancelled. But their film entitled "Isolasyon" was recognized worldwide and was even a semi finalist in the International Spot Shot Films Festival 2021 and he was awarded twice as Best Director in Brooklyn International Cinefest 2021 and Best Debut Filmmaker in Star Hollywood Awards 2021. He was formerly a director in Bisflix (a local collab film/vlog that aims to promote entertainment and values through short films). Wherein his debut directed film "Phone Call" was also acknowledge worldwide which awarded him as Best Director in the World Carnival Film - Singapore. The film also bagged Best Educational Film 2021 in the same festival and even included in 17th Cinemalaya Indie Nation Shorts Exhibit 2021 in the Philippines. Furthermore, he's also planning to start his own production that he will name, GoGlow Productions (GGP) and a comic page called SIGA Comics (SC) inorder to provide opportunities for his fellows. Right now, his big dream is to win Emmys & Oscars. He wanted to inspire others that no matter how small or big time you are, always remember that when it comes to our dream, we are always one.
