Nichole Overall

Nichole Overall is an award-winning Queanbeyan-based journalist, author, social historian and former small business owner who has called the Monaro region home since the 1980s. Originally from Griffith, Overall completed a Communications degree from the University of Canberra and went on to work for the Tumut and Adelong Times and later establish a successful small businesses in Queanbeyan. She has been involved in numerous community groups, charities, education bodies, and mental health services in volunteer roles and has also been involved in promoting, supporting, and developing women's football in the Queanbeyan region. Nichole's husband Tim Overall was a councillor for both Queanbeyan City Council and Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council over many years, and served as Mayor for more than 13 years before retiring at the 2021 local government elections.
