Samurdhi Ranasinghe

Samurdhi Mudushreen Ranasinghe is a Sri Lankan Director, Producer, linear & non - linear Editor, Concept Writer, Program Presenter who has worked over the two decades on TV commercials, TV series and TV programs. He was born on August 25th in 1981 and hometown was Matara. He received his school education from St. Thomas' College, Matara while been a prominent child personality during his school days. Samurdhi ventured into the Sri Lankan film industry in 1997, initially working as an Assistant Director of Teleview and Lagena Media. "Ek Murganganaviyak, Sisila Ima and Nethranjali" are some of teledramas he has worked as an Assistant director. During his tenure working as a Senior Program Producer for Channels such as Swarnawahini, Heritage TV and Siyatha TV, he knows what's required for a quality production. As a well-being TV commercial director in Sri Lanka, he has worked with so many international and local cooperate brands, companies, and organisations under his own advertising agency "Watermark agency" and Production house "Peppermint Productions". Samurdhi has contributed to the creation of over 400 TV commercials, leaving a huge footprint in Sri Lanka. As a different approach he directed "Ahinsakavi" music video by showing his incredible talent and making it more popular in the Sri Lankan music video industry. Recently he began to his new chapter through directing TV series of "Rose Villa" which released on You Drama YouTube channel, that belongs to You Network Privet Limited Company known as the new venture of Watermark agency. Through his extraordinary talents, field experience for decades and magnificent creative approach brightening up his character as one of the renowned names in today's Sri Lankan film industry.
