Casey Diepeveen

Casey Diepeveen is an actor, facilitator, and producer based in Cape Town, with a vision to create inclusive, socially-engaged art that amplifies South African stories for a global audience. Casey's journey began in modern dance as a young girl, which became a teenage musical theatre obsession, and later developed into a passion for screen acting. In 2015, she graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a degree in Industrial Psychology and Political Science - all while creating, 'on the side'. Having spent a year studying acting for film in New York in 2019, she became the Development Director of the international company, Bond Street Theatre, and has been facilitating arts programs ever since. Most recently, in collaboration with 8 artists, she devised a play and month-long performance tour, highlighting gender stereotypes in Cairo, Egypt. As an independent producer at Unusual Bones since 2020, she has led the development of multi-award-winning short film, Ekstasis, experimental film, reaching, and multicultural and multilingual play, Eurydice.
