With a history of several testimonies, her theatrical productions delivers messages of healing and self awareness. She was victimized by her ex-husband, a minister for more than 10 years. The brutal beatings, going to jail, kidnappings, rape, chokings', children burned/abused, baby being thrown out of a car window, homelessness, and domination are experiences that fueled her motivation to reach victims in bondage. In 2000, Carolyn met with Tyler Perry who inspired her to write the vision and make it plain. She then was able to create her story through real life characters on stage that deliver her message. Carolyn says, "The theatrical works are used as a tool to help others visually see how abuse can be fatal." Her organization with the vision to assist domestic violence victims, created a place of refuge, healing and peace! Her not-for-profit forum had a purpose and mission. Her sell out plays, "The Gift of Giving," Women Shoptalk While Real Men Wait," and Angels Palace, provides her audiences with real life situations and inspirational alternatives to recovery. She goes on to say, "I realized that my silence was acceptance for what happened to me; the same silence that imprisons others. We had outstanding reviews. Carolyn says, "my voice, my magazine, my plays, my talkshow and my book, "When Enough is Enough," represent the voices of many. In my daily walk, I stay close to the God. It is important for me to, "Let your light so shine before men that they may see my Good works and Glorify Him which is in Heaven." Matt 5:16.
