Lya-Jane Gitlis is a 19 year old actress based in Los Angeles. After moving from Paris at the age of 7, she became bilingual and began to act in several music videos and shorts. She attended an arts high school at which she participated in a myriad of plays like Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility" for which she earned a National Youth Award for Most Outstanding Performance. She continued to develop her skills through acting workshops at The Playground in L.A. and rigorous coaching with Deena Freeman. Her love for acting led her to pursue a BFA in Acting at Marymount Manhattan College for a year, receiving training in movement, voice & speech, and intimacy from theatrical professionals. Her career took her back to Los Angeles to act full-time. Within a week of being back in LA, she booked both a voice-over role for a Netflix animation and a supporting role in an ESPN Western. She is currently working hard on her craft at the Graham Shields Studio and collaborating with a variety of USC undergrad and M.F.A directors, producers, and crew to create powerful short films.
